Communicating clearly, concisely, consistently, accurately
From the office of President Mark Schroeder
One of the messages clearly sent by our recent convention was that we need to improve the communication between the synod and its people. If we, as a synod, are to work together effectively in our common mission, it seems obvious that information needs to flow dependably in two directions.
Two things can hinder effective communication. One is the lack of timely and usable information. The other is an excess of communication, when important messages can be lost in the clutter.
What you are seeing in this first issue of "Together" is an attempt to solve both problems. "Together" will be sent to you twice each month.
The content will include important, timely information from your synod. The various areas of ministry will be invited to include brief items about what they have been doing and what they are planning.
You may be thinking, "Please, not another piece of informational clutter!" Our intent is that this newsletter will replace many of the other electronic and printed communication you may now be receiving. It is our goal, through this vehicle, to condense and consolidate much of the information now coming from the synod to the most essential elements and put them into one easy-to-use resource.
